Diablosport is adding a special ingredient to the 3.5L EcoBoost-powered 2011-14 F-150s. Tuning support is now available for the platform, and gives users the ability to modify parameters to better their fuel mileage, power output, shifting, timing, and more.
Official Release:
DiabloSport is about to rock the F-150 performance world with tire-peeling performance tunes for the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. Their OBD-II performance programmers (inTune and Trinity) offer aftermarket tunes that increase horsepower on 87, 91, and 93 octane gasoline. DiabloSport even included a specialty tune for towing, and an MPG booster tune designed to increase fuel mileage. Their calibration team’s goal to create the perfect performance calibration paid off: their 93 Octane Performance Tune made 90+ Horsepower and 90+ Ft. Lbs of torque on the dyno with premium pump gas!
Not only were they able to generate tremendous power gains on the truck, but the boys at DiabloSport were able to squeeze out another two miles per gallon of fuel economy as well. When it comes to better MPG on the EcoBoost one of DiabloSport’s calibrators claimed “Every little bit of the throttle response gained on this truck will equal out to better fuel economy. A little less throttle to do the same job means better mileage in the city, at cruise, or when towing.”
While fuel mileage is important, DiabloSport’s R&D team spent hundreds of hours analyzing the performance of the EcoBoost platform and came up with the perfect balance of performance, drivability, and end user adjustable options. DiabloSport tuners will allow end users to adjust spark timing fueling, engine idle, shifting, and speed/rev limiters, and with the pre-loaded performance tunes, they will see huge power gains, increased throttle response, optimized shifting, and increased fuel mileage.
Features:
- Gains of up to 90 horsepower and 90 pound-feet of torque
- Specialty tunes include towing and MPG booster
- Allows users to modify spark timing, engine idle, shifting, speed/rev limiters, and much more
