Enthusiasts with 1973-79 Ford pickups can now replace the boxy factory dashboard that provides limited information with a redesigned unit from industry leader Classic Dash that’s loaded with Auto Meter gauges. The new panel, which is a precisely fitted bolt-in replacement for the OEM dash, is made of UV-resistant ABS composite material and is offered in matte black, brushed aluminum or carbon fiber finishes. Classic Dash’s redesigned panel features recessed gauges to provide a more custom look. Most enthusiasts order them with a package that includes a 3-3/8″ diameter speedometer and tachometer, plus 2-1/16″ diameter oil pressure, water temperature, voltage and fuel quantity gauges.
Installation can be performed by competent do-it-yourselfers using only common tools. A complete wiring installation kit is offered by Classic Dash, and a comprehensive, illustrated instruction booklet is included.
