On a recent visit to Ecuador, Bolivia and Paraguay Pope Francis got to visit his fans in off-road style. The Pope was able to cruise around in a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Popemobile.

He traveled through Quito, Ecuador in his wrangler soaking up the sun rays with the clear top. The wrangler does appear to be stretched but it is design of the cage that makes it look that way.

The Pope is definitely popular guy and people flock from all over the world to see him more than any other recent Pope. The streets where lined with people during his visit to Quito.

The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited was all white with a red flower arrangement on the hood. As much as it did look like a dismembered head from driving through the onlookers, it was just flowers. The Jeep does appear to also have some type of aftermarket front bumper.

Pope Francis has been known to take vehicles with little to no protection. He has taken many convertibles, and like this Jeep nothing is protecting him besides the roof.

Whatever he is doing is great and also does not seem to have any brand loyalty when selecting the new Popemobile. There was no mention if this was an endorsement from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). For all we know it could of been the only thing available to rent for the time he was visiting and they had to make do with what was there.

We see people do all sorts of things, to all sorts of vehicles and this is the first time we have seen an off-road vehicle used as the Popemobile. This is clearly something unique and interesting to see.
