CaseyCurrie_3Reports from the recent Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) Glen Helen event all seem to have a similar refrain–the weather was not on the side of the racers or fans. Rain washed out the track on Saturday, postponing Round 9 to Sunday morning, and Round 10 was pushed back all the way to the final race in Lake Elsinore.

Nevertheless, the urge to compete was still lingering for many racers. Casey Currie was one such individual, and his distinctive Jeep-esque Pro Lite #2 made the most of Sunday morning when the clouds had pulled back.

Currie has made good progress this season. He has momentum both on the points chase and on the track at Glen Helen. That last point was proven as he put down the fastest lap time in his class on Sunday, despite the numerous caution flags being thrown from the large amount of trucks running around.

“It is disappointing when you have such a fast truck ready to go, but we were able to get one race in this weekend and we are still gaining ground in the Championship points. Between the rain, and the largest starting grid for Pro Lite this season, it was a warzone out there, but my team gave me a great truck and it is awesome to be the fastest one out there,” said Currie about the weekend’s events.

It will be interesting to see how Currie adapts to the next race this weekend, taking place in Estero Beach in Baja California. We’ll keep our eyes on Currie and his progress. In the meantime, head over to Currie Enterprises’ website and Facebook page for news, photos, videos, and more.
