In case you haven’t noticed, Can-Am has absolutely taken over the UTV market with their Maverick line up. The Maverick X3’s biggest selling point is how wide it is which allows for insane amounts of suspension travel. That width does hold the Maverick X3 back, however, because it can’t easily fit on small trails. This is one the reasons Cam-Am just unveiled four new 50-inch wide Maverick Trail side-by-side vehicles.

“The Can-Am Maverick Trail lineup introduces our incredible X3 pedigree to trail exploration,” said Bernard Guy, Senior Vice President, Global Product Strategy at BRP. “People love riding trails because it’s an adventurous escape into nature to discover new destinations with friends, and these ingenious machines are built to maximize the user experience in every way.”

Customers have also been wanting something that could crawl even better than the current Maverick does. Cam-Am listened and also unveiled the 172hp Maverick X3 X rc Turbo R and the 120 horsepower Maverick X3 X rc Turbo. Both of these new Maverick models come with Can-Am’s new Smart-Lok which is basically just a selectable front locker with electronically-controlled automatic modes. These new Maverick models also come with specialized tires, rock sliders, suspension protectors, and a front differential guard.

Can-Am’s Defender utility focused UTVs also got some new packages. The Defender X mr HD10 is built to tackle tough muddy conditions and includes the new Smart-Lok system. The Defender XT-P is more of a workhorse model with it’s upgraded shocks and multiple driving modes. The Defender Max Lone Star HD10 is designed for ranch type of work with its heavy duty parts such as the steel front bumper.
