Responding to the recent social media pressure and campaigns to boycott products that support outdoor activities related to firearms, Bell Racing released a statement explaining the different divisions under the Bell Brand, and how they are separate from the parent company, Vista Outdoor.
Company President and COO, Kyle Kietzmann, made clear in the statement that the Bell Racing USA, Bell Racing Helmets, and the bicycle divisions of the Bell Brand operate independently of the brands that are targeted by boycotters.
The brand that is currently at risk by social media boycotters was identified as Vista Outdoor. Kietzmann stated that the Vista Outdoor brand “has no ownership stake in Bell Racing.” He went on to affirm that the brands act with different values, have different missions and differing visions.
