Premiering last night, November 30th, 2014, was the History Channel’s newest series dedicated to the off road community, Alaskan Off Road Warriors. The series focuses on following five teams of off roaders as they race from the southern-side of Alaska all the way to the northern-coast through all kinds of terrain. For 4×4 fans, there is a wide range of vehicles equipped to take on the intense terrain including two Toyota 4Runners, a Land Rover, a Jeep, and a Toyota Land Cruiser.

During the series premier last night, viewers got a close look into the five different teams that consist of nine men, one woman, and one bulldog. The majority of the teams are from Alaska except for the “SuperJeep” team who the rest of the cast kindly refers to as the “lower 48’ers” due to their Washington roots. In the action-packed series premier, the racers got to take on all kinds of terrain including deep water, sand dunes, dense forest, and high speed hard packed dirt – and all of this was just in the first episode!

From an enthusiast point of view, the series premier was very exciting. The producers have dramatized the action a little bit to make it entertaining, but at the end of the day, there is a lot of hardcore off road action throughout the episode that keep viewers engaged from start to finish. At the end of the episode, we got a close look into what can be expected from the rest of the series, and it looks like it gets even more action-packed as the season moves on.
