Ford’s Bronco lineup has expanded once again. The all-new 2027 Ford Bronco Filson represents a unique collaboration between two iconic American brands, combining Bronco’s hard-earned off-road credibility with the rugged heritage of Filson, a company known for building durable outdoor gear since the late 1800s.
Set to arrive in dealerships in early 2027, the Bronco Filson aims to deliver something Ford says customers have been requesting: a premium Bronco that elevates materials, comfort, and craftsmanship without compromising the capability that defines the SUV.
“Bronco buyers don’t just want a vehicle — they want a partner for wherever they’re headed,” said Andrew Frick, president, Ford Blue and Ford Model e. “Filson has spent more than a century making gear people trust and putting their products to the test in extreme conditions. That’s exactly the standard we had in mind when we built this vehicle, and it’s why our customers love Bronco.”

What Is Filson?
For those unfamiliar with the brand, Filson is one of America’s most respected outdoor outfitters. Founded nearly 130 years ago during the Klondike Gold Rush era, the Seattle-based company built its reputation producing durable clothing and equipment for loggers, hunters, ranchers, surveyors, and outdoor professionals. Its products have been trusted by everyone from backcountry adventurers to the U.S. Forest Service, with a focus on longevity, utility, and craftsmanship rather than luxury for luxury’s sake.
That philosophy heavily influenced the development of the Bronco Filson.
“For nearly 130 years, Filson has built products for people who depend on their gear in the harshest conditions imaginable,” said Alex Carleton, chief creative officer at Filson. “The Bronco Filson is a natural extension of that legacy, combining uncompromising capability with thoughtful craftsmanship and utility-driven design. This vehicle was created for people who see the outdoors not as an escape, but as a way of life.”

Built Wild Underneath
Despite its upscale mission, the Bronco Filson remains rooted in hardcore off-road capability.
Power comes from Ford’s proven 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6, the same basic engine found in the Bronco Raptor, though Ford says it receives application-specific tuning for the Filson model.
Every Bronco Filson comes standard with the Sasquatch package. The package includes front and rear electronic locking differentials, high-performance Fox shocks with internal bypass technology, and 35-inch rugged-terrain tires. Ford claims the tires are the largest fitted to any premium 4×4 SUV while also helping reduce road noise compared to more aggressive off-road rubber.
The Bronco Filson also includes Trail Turn Assist for tighter maneuvering in technical terrain, Trail 1-Pedal Drive for precise rock-crawling control, and Ford’s Terrain Management System featuring seven G.O.A.T. (Goes Over Any Type of Terrain) Modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, Baja, Off-Road, and Rock Crawl.

A Premium Interior That Doesn’t Mind Getting Dirty
While many premium SUVs focus on luxury, Ford says the Bronco Filson takes a different approach by emphasizing durability and authentic materials.
“There is a massive difference between premium and precious,” said Paul Wraith, global design director, Sport Utility Vehicles. “If you’re hesitating because you’re afraid to get the cabin dirty, it doesn’t belong in a Bronco. Every material we chose with Filson had to be honest, tactile, and relentlessly durable. And like a great piece of gear, this interior isn’t meant to wear down, it’s designed to wear in, aging beautifully alongside you and your adventures.”
Filson designers worked directly alongside Ford’s Bronco team to develop an interior inspired by the company’s signature outdoor apparel and equipment. The cabin features perforated and quilted leather seating surfaces paired with durable woven fabric inspired by Filson’s rugged twill materials. A leather-wrapped instrument panel, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and brass accents on the steering wheel bezel and G.O.A.T. mode selector further separate the Filson from other Broncos.
Ford also says the Bronco Filson is the quietest Bronco ever built. Improved airflow management, acoustic glass, and upgraded sealing contribute to what the company describes as nearly 20 percent less perceived wind noise compared to the 2021 Bronco.
Comfort upgrades include ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and an upgraded B&O audio system, creating a more refined environment for long road trips between trail destinations.

Utility-Focused Features Throughout
The collaboration extends beyond appearance details.
One of the most distinctive features is a collection of Filson-inspired removable saddlebags integrated throughout the cabin. Door-mounted storage bags and available cargo-area bags are constructed from water- and dirt-resistant materials and can be removed from the vehicle for use around camp.
The customizable storage solutions are designed to accommodate everything from fly-fishing gear and first-aid supplies to camera equipment and other outdoor essentials.
Additional functional upgrades include a digital rearview mirror with an integrated washer system, allowing drivers to maintain visibility even when the cargo area is stacked with gear. New power running boards automatically deploy to ease entry and exit despite the SUV’s elevated ride height.
Outside, the Bronco Filson receives its own front grille with unique BRONCO lettering, heritage-painted wheel arches, painted mirror caps, and exclusive trail sight tie-downs engineered to help secure longer outdoor equipment such as canoes.
Available colors include the Bronco Filson-exclusive Field Green Metallic, along with Marsh Gray, Avalanche Gray, Desert Sand, Shadow Black, and Oxford White.

Connectivity And Technology
The Bronco Filson pairs its rugged hardware with modern technology. Standard SYNC 4 infotainment is displayed through a 12-inch touchscreen and supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Fast 5G and Wi-Fi capability enable access to connected services, while the standard 360-degree camera system helps drivers navigate tight trails. Off-road enthusiasts can also access applications such as onX Offroad trail maps directly through the system.

The Bronco Filson First Edition
To celebrate the launch of the collaboration, Ford will offer a limited Bronco Filson First Edition exclusively for North America.
The special model features an exclusive Iron Sands Copper Metallic exterior finish, a unique fender badge, a custom serialized console badge commemorating the Ford x Filson partnership, and exclusive Filson-inspired cargo storage bags.

Production, Availability, and Pricing
The 2027 Ford Bronco Filson will be assembled at Ford’s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, Michigan, alongside the rest of the Bronco lineup.
Orders are scheduled to open in fall 2026, with dealership arrivals expected in early 2027. Beginning in July 2026, Ford plans to showcase the vehicle through a multi-city Bronco Filson Tour designed to highlight its design, materials, and capability.
A limited-edition Bronco x Filson merchandise collection will also launch June 4 through Filson retail stores and Filson.com.
Ford says the Bronco Filson will carry a targeted starting MSRP in the mid-$70,000 range.
