2014 Ram 1500 Will Bring Back The “Mossy Oak” Edition

2014 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak Edition

First introduced in the 2011 Ram pickup truck line, the Mossy Oak Edition was “designed for enthusiasts who are passionate about the great outdoors,” drawing its name from the famous Mississippi-based camouflage and outdoor lifestyle company. Less soap opera Dynasty and more long-bearded Duck Dynasty, the pickup is coming back for 2014 and will again offer the distinctive “camouflage” appearance with a repeating texture of autumnal forestry covering the lower portions of the doors, rocker panels, tailgate, and bed rails.

2014 Ram 1500 Mossy Oak EditionReid Bigland, president and CEO of Ram, states that the truck should provide the perfect fit for customers who are all about having fun outside. “Ram Truck is focused on the needs and wants of truck buyers.”

“Our Ram Truck owners are passionate about hunting and fishing, and the Ram Mossy Oak Edition gives hunting enthusiasts a way to proudly proclaim their love of the outdoors.” Citing owner demographics–i.e. 30 percent like to hunt, 44 percent like to fish, 42 percent like to go camping, and so on–it’s easy to see why this option should prove a big hit with Ram fans.

The truck comes packed with plenty of style: the aforementioned camo pattern is derived from Mossy Oak’s “Infinity” pattern, and the Mossy Oak logo is proudly displayed on both rear fenders, as well as the headrests inside the vehicle.

Inside, the Infinity pattern stretches the length of the center column, along with some door panel inserts. Optional are the Espresso Katzkin leather seats, which come with the Mossy Oak logo stitched into the seat backs.

In keeping with the times, the truck will feature the RamBox Cargo Management System for both 6-foot, 4-inch and 5-foot 7-inch bed lengths. Paint styles are offered in Black, Black Gold Pearl, and Prairie Pearl, with Canyon Brown and Frost Beige interiors. If you’re eager to get one of these trucks, expect the Mossy Oak Edition to be available very soon, and expect to pay a little over $40,000 to get it.
