There’s something to be said for a company that offers products right out of the gate. Greg Higgs of Fab Fours agrees with this notion wholeheartedly, and the Jeep Gladiator standing tall next to him exemplifies this agreement. It’s a purpose-built SEMA display machine, with plenty of off-road ‘go’ to go with all that show.
“What we wanted to bring was a Jeep that you could essentially build next Monday,” Higgs says. “So everything on our rig is available nationwide, for purchase right after the show.”
Tip-to-tail, the Fab Fours Jeep Gladiator has received more parts than we care to count. The tour starts with the Fab Fours “Stubby” front bumper, which Higgs tells us currently retails for an extremely modest $399. “We’re just trying to ‘stick it’ to China,” Higgs explains enthusiastically. Featuring a 3/16-inch construction, welded both inside and out, rocking a wench mount, lighting options… the “Stubby’s” perks list is quite sizable. Simply put, it’s an extremely sturdy product that comes loaded with standard features, and is currently available at an amazing price-point.
Fab Fours Limb Risers and metal fenders
Resting above the front bumper are a set of Fab Fours’ wild limb risers, which affix themselves to the brand’s overland rack, which hovers over the front windscreen. This rolls us right into the company’s solid metal fender system, which on the Gladiator sit high-and-tight, allowing plenty of tire clearance and factory JL lights.
As for the Gladiator’s rear fender system, it’s about as sturdy and user-friendly as it comes. Since roof-top tents can be extremely difficult to access, Fab Fours designed its rear fender system to double as scaffolding. Engineered to hold the wait of a full-grown adult, these purpose-built perches grant access to overland tent and Fab Fours’ full-surround, double-step rear bumper alike.
Speaking of that rear bumper — while sturdiness, safety, and clearance are all key selling points, its ability to be custom-coated is a major perk. Even the integrated mounting system near the shackles are separate pieces, thus allowing painless contrast coating or color matching.
Regarding the massive overland rack up top: buyers can purchase a small version just for the bed, or an extended version like the one seen here, which features A-pillar mounts and adapter brackets to clip into the Fab Fours ViCowl window surround. Closing notables include rattle-free tubed 1/2 doors and a “light” rock slider. The second of these two is lighter in gauge, but also features integrated rock light mounting points, so all of the guess-work as to where to put LED illumination has been eliminated — just one more ingenious way Fab Fours is changing the 4×4 game and making off-roading that much more enjoyable.
