If ever there was a Land Rover that embodied the phrase “built for everything,” ECD’s Project Brownie Land Rover wagon is it. This Nara Bronze Matte beast isn’t just another restomod—it’s a hand-crafted fusion of off-road grit, modern refinement, and unfiltered power, purpose-built to dominate snowy switchbacks, daily commutes, and dusty fire roads without breaking a sweat.
Powered by a hand-built 6.2-liter GM LT4 Supercharged V8 that unleashes a jaw-dropping 650 horsepower. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Brownie is the kind of rig that growls at convention and roars past compromise.
“Project Brownie is the kind of build that represents the evolution of the Land Rover. It’s nostalgic but not stuck in the past, modernized for everyday use and built to the absolute highest standard,” said Scott Wallace, Co-Founder & CEO, ECD Automotive Design.
Land Rover Wagon: Built for the Trail, Tuned for the Street
At the heart of the Project Brownie Land Rover wagon is a fully Raptor-lined chassis, designed not just to look tough, but to take a beating and keep rolling. The BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires wrapped around 18-inch matte black Sawtooth wheels chew through sand and snow alike, while ECD’s Air Ride Suspension and heavy-duty axles offer a buttery-smooth ride over just about any terrain. A Borla Sport Dual Plus exhaust lets you dial in your preferred soundtrack with the push of a button.
A Cabin That Knows No Compromise
Inside, this build features Corbeau Trailcat seats are wrapped in Spinneybeck’s Sabrina leather, stitched with nutmeg thread and honeycomb inserts. The interior layout includes a 2+2+4 configuration with four inward-facing jump seats. Modern conveniences abound, including remote start, blind spot assist, a digital rearview mirror, and backup camera. A touch-screen audio system is also included, and features Apple Car Play along with dual Kenwood Slimline subs and a full set of JL Audio speakers.
Even the accents—the steering guard and radio console—are painted to match the Nara Bronze matte exterior, tying the whole build together in a tone that’s equal parts heritage and high-performance.
The Verdict: A Dream Machine
Project Brownie isn’t just a restomod—it’s a rolling manifesto for those who want classic lines with modern muscle. It’s designed to perform with elegance, terrorize trails with confidence, and turn heads in the grocery store parking lot. Whether you’re chasing horizons or hauling the family to soccer practice, this Land Rover doesn’t just meet expectations—it obliterates them.
