Hunter RMV’s Predator XLE 4×4: A $600,000, 30-Foot-Long, Off-Road RV

If you’ve been wishing for an off-road-capable RV with a roomy interior and space to tote some of your toys, Hunter RMV heard you. The company’s new Isuzu Predator XLE 4×4 includes an attached 4-foot “garage.” While it’s not going to fit a Super Duty, Hunter RMV says it can be used to house a motorcycle lift, workshop, or general storage.

About Hunter RMV

The Predator XLE 4×4 is the latest creation from Hunter RMV, a company founded in 2015 by Keith Storey. He couldn’t find an expedition vehicle that had the capability, space, and affordability to meet his family’s needs, so he built his own. He went big with his first prototype, “The Beast,” which sat on an M939 6×6 military vehicle chassis. Later, he expanded to the Light Medium Tactical Vehicle (LMTV) military chassis and other foundations. Today, Hunter RMV offers several models of expedition vehicles in both custom and turnkey configurations. They’re touted as having rugged capability, comfort, and affordability.

The Predator XLE 4×4 Is A 30-Foot-Long Expedition Vehicle

The foundation of Hunter RMV’s Predator XLE 4×4 is a medium-duty 2024 Isuzu FTR MT3 truck. The wheelbase is 188 inches, which is about the same as the overall length of a 2025 Jeep Wrangler four-door, including the spare tire. The Predator XLE 4×4 has a length of 30 feet, a width of 7 feet 8 inches (for comparison, that’s 4.5 inches less than a 2025 Ram Heavy Duty dualie), and a height of 12 feet 7 inches. The truck is powered by a Cummins B6.7 turbodiesel engine that produces 260 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque. It’s fed by a 100-gallon fuel tank, which Hunter RMV says gives the vehicle an approximate range of 1,000 miles. Power is routed through an Allison 2550 RDS six-speed automatic transmission to an air-shift Marmon-Harrington MVG-750 two-speed transfer case.

The Predator’s front axle is a beefy Meritor MX17-140 with a rating of 17,000 pounds. Hunter RMV describes the rear axle as a “blocked rear drive axle 5.57.” Both axles are fitted with air brakes. The rig rolls on 425/65R22.5 (44.3-inch diameter) Michelin XZY tires mounted on aluminum wheels. Tire pressure can be adjusted remotely using a central tire inflation system.

All The Comforts Of Home

The Predator XLE 4×4 is fitted with a 22-foot-long box that rests on a custom four-point articulating subframe. The all-season box offers 18 feet of living area and an attached 4-foot garage, as well as a cab pass-through. Features of the living area include a space-saving, electrically operated queen-sized bed that raises and lowers over a large dinette area, a Truma diesel heat and hot water system, and Dometic air conditioning. There’s even a smart television and a Bluetooth audio system. Additionally, the rig carries 110 gallons of fresh water and has a 35-gallon heated gray water tank. The bathroom has a Nature’s Head composting toilet and a large, separate stand-up shower. There’s even a handy washer/dryer combo. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes an induction cooktop, microwave oven, and two fridge/freezers.

When shore power isn’t available, there’s a solar power system that generates over 1,000 watts and includes 800 Ah lithium batteries and a Victron Energy control system.

Exterior Features And Options

The exterior of the Predator XLE 4×4 has underslung steel storage boxes, spare tire storage with winch assist, off-road LED lighting, and a roof rack with LED lighting. Furthermore, it offers Traeger and Blackstone grills for outdoor cooking, a four-point security system, and an electric awning.

Options abound and include a motorcycle lift, gun cabinets, hunting game coolers, and a bunk room or workshop for the garage area. Additionally, options include a front-mounted winch, upgraded cab seating, additional solar panels, a generator, and Starlink satellite internet.

The Bottom Line

The Predator XLE 4×4 has a base price of almost $600K. That’s a lot of cheddar, but it’s well under the $1M-plus price tag of some other off-road RVs. And you get a place to put your toys.
