Every year when the weather cools, the ghost and goblins come out, but it also marks the return to the desert. To kick off the countdown to the dunes the 2017 edition of the Sand Sports Super Show took place at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, California.
This three-day event brings out the best in the Powersports and sand car industry. An event that used to be dominated by motorcycles, ATVs, and sand cars, has been taken over by the side-by-side market.
As far as you could see there were UTVs spread across the fairgrounds in all brands, colors, and surprisingly, sizes too. From the latest Polaris to Yamaha and Can-Am, they were all out in force showing off what they could do.
This year there were no races attached to the show, but in its place was the Yamaha driving experience. This was a driving experience for enthusiasts and possible YXZ1000R buyers could test the side-by-side out in a controlled environment.

In addition to the manufacturers, the fairgrounds were flooded with the top names in the industry showcasing products for the Powersport and off-road market. From suspension to lights everything could be found walking the Orange County Fairgrounds.
Up next for show season is the Off-Road Expo in Pomona, California September 30th – October 1st. Did you head out to the Sand Sports Super Show? Tell us in the comments below!
