Camp Jeep 2014 Europe Was a Huge Success in Italy

According to a report seen on AutoCar.com from the United Kingdom (aka Great Britain) Camp Jeep 2014 in Europe proved to be a huge success this summer, taking place in the town of  Parma, Italy.  The event was opened to both owners and curious spectators. It gave the crowd a chance to see what Jeeps can do, and gave European owners a chance to test their off-road performance.

The event was held on the Frazione Viazzano estate outside of Parma. Frazione is an off-road oasis in the middle of Italy, it’s natural terrain formed the perfect base for an off-road event containing miles of dirt roads and hunting trails, a few of which can only be accessed by off -road vehicles. Famed World Rally Champion Massimo “Mikki” Biasion was in attendance and got behind the wheel of a few different Jeeps, and provide demonstration rides.

Three off-road courses were established on the property. These courses ranged from simple gravel trails to courses made from the finest Italian mud. The skill levels varied from novice to expert off roader. The longest trail was 11 miles, and it was the definition of all terrain, as dirt, hills rocks to mud were navigated through. Among the other happenings at Camp Jeep were a BBQ, a classic Jeep show, a Mopar display, and a stage with live music.

To make things even more exciting and adventurous, in order to get to the event site on the property, Jeep owners had to enter in the exact coordinates on GPS units and navigate to the event off-road.

Prior to the event Andrea Pallard, Jeep’s European PR rep had this to say “We expect around 150-200 private customers to visit Camp Jeep. They are coming from Italy, Belgium, Poland, Slovenia, Germany, Austria – primarily from Europe.”

Jeeps ranging from Cherokees to Grand Cherokees to Wranglers were present at Camp Jeep. Spectators also had a chance to see all of these vehicles put to the test and driven through the assortment of trails in the Italian countryside.
