Bryce Menzies - ActionLast year marked the debut of Red Bull’s Frozen Rush competition that took place at the Sunday River Ski Resort in Maine. Incase you missed it, picture the same 900+ hp Pro 4 trucks you know and love from the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series and TORC Series competing on the snowy ski slopes of a local ski resort. With an immense amount of power on tap, four-wheel drive, and tires with large spikes for traction, Red Bull’s Frozen Rush was a sight to behold and a true success – especially for a first year competition.

As part of Red Bull’s “Signature Series” of events, 2014 saw the likes of Ricky Johnson, Bryce Menzies, Rob MacCachren, Brian Deegan, Johnny Greaves, and more battling it out on the snowy hillside with a picturesque backdrop of Maine in the distance. The sights, and sounds, of the event were truly amazing and innovative – two attributes we have come to expect from Red Bull’s Signature Series lineup.

Being that this event takes place in the off season for the two short-course racing sanctioning bodies, it serves as a great way for off road fans to see something very unusual and get their off road fix before the green flag flies at the series’ openers. Being only a couple hours outside of Boston, buy tickets for the 2015 Frozen Rush on Sunday River’s website and check out Red Bull’s photo gallery from last year!
