Colorado In Canada: 2015 Colorado Gets Upgrades, Explores Wilderness

bccolorado_4Take a 2015 Colorado and sell it to the average Joe, and odds are good the truck will remain more or less stock throughout its ownership. Take the same pickup and hand the keys to an off-roader, and there’s little question that it will see some sweet upgrades to make it a bona fide outdoor adventurer.

bccolorado_3That’s what happened in the case of this Summit White model, owned by Reddit user mparnelly and recently featured on the alpha and omega of off-roading subreddits, /r/4×4. A few days ago, mparnelly posted an Imgur picture gallery titled “Penticton May 2015.” It’s a great addition to the man’s other picture albums found on Imgur, all of which showcase wonderful landscapes found throughout British Columbia.

To the unfamiliar, Penticton is a city which lies in the southern portion of BC, nestled in between the Skaha and Okanagan Lakes. Its local off-road trails, as you imagine (and see, in some of these pictures), hold some incredible, picturesque scenery that the gallery touches on. These pics really make us here at Off Road Xtreme want to check on our passport status and pack our bags for the Great White North!

bccolorado_1The Colorado, meanwhile, is putting American ruggedness and modern-age tech to good use up there. Mparnelly was proud to show off his latest upgrades to the mid-size, which included a two-inch leveling kit and 33-inch BF Goodrich All Terrain KO2s. He was happy to report that despite some rubbing at full lock when steering, the setup “works like a charm…absolutely no clearance or [other] rubbing issues at all. So happy with it, this truck is badass.”

No argument there, mparnelly. Keep it real up there in B.C., and don’t shy away from making the drive down to the Southwestern U.S. for some desert action.
