These days automakers have special editions celebrating everything from Moab, Utah to the Call of Duty video game franchise. Ford has never been a company to shy away from special edition opportunity themselves, so it’s of little surprise that they’ve got another special F-150 up their sleeve for 2016.

The MVP Edition is designed to celebrate the Kansas City Royals’ 2015 World Series championship, much the way the 1985 F-150 MVP edition did back when the team last won the championship.
The new model will be limited to just 300 examples total. While they don’t stray from the traditional F-150 format dramatically, the MVP Edition will feature an exclusive polished stainless rocker panels and spray-in bedliners, along with the requisite MVP Edition badging. The model will be offered in either Oxford While or Blue Flame paint hues, as those are the team colors for the Royals.

While there’s no word on exactly how much of a premium this will command versus the standard F-150 with the chrome package, we’d expect the additional expense to be fairly minimal, and Ford dealers are ready to take orders for the 2016 F-150 MVP Edition as soon as customers are ready to place them.
