The dates for the 14th annual King Of The Hammers (KOH) event have been set. The whole event will span from Friday, January 31, 2020 to Sunday, February 9, 2020. The main event is slated for Friday, February 7.

The week-long event has been extended this year, the motorcycle races have returned. Dave Cole, co-founder of Ultra4 Racing, announced mid-way through the 2018 race season that the moto race would not be back for 2019. In an email release, Cole explained.

“I’m addressing this email to all registered drivers and co-drivers from the 2018 season,” Cole said. “By now, I’m sure most of you have heard about the schedule/event changes for KOH 2019. We are not going to bring Motos back. It was a joint decision that was made by Jimmy Lewis and myself after the 2018 race. I am working on a long term solution to have Motos race a stand-alone event not part of the KOH week. With regards to the impact of bringing Desert Trucks to the event, it will affect us in several ways, most of them positive.”

For the 2019 event, the moto portion of the race was canceled due to logistics. In previous years, King Of The Moto was a combination of multiple races with multiple loops. In the last event in 2018, Cody Webb was the only finisher, making it his third first-place finish.
Not all KOH 2020 details have been released as of this writing. Stay tuned for more information.
