This year, RealTruck is teaming up with Mattel’s iconic Matchbox brand to build a full-size, custom Jeep Wrangler that embodies both brands’ passion for adventure and creativity. The heavily modified 2018 Jeep Wrangler (JLU), built by Doetsch Off-Road in Chandler, Arizona, made its debut at RealTruck’s booth at the 2025 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

A Full-Scale Matchbox Original

This isn’t your average trail-ready Wrangler. Outfitted with a wide array of premium RealTruck products, the build features a Superlift 4-inch lift kit, Husky Liners Weatherbeater floor liners, Rugged Ridge HD stubby front bumper, XOR rear bumper, roof rack, AmFib snorkel system, and more — all designed to turn the Wrangler into the ultimate off-road adventure machine.

The exterior showcases a custom Matchbox and Husky Liners livery, blending RealTruck’s rugged functionality with Matchbox’s nostalgic flair for automotive imagination. And for fans who want to bring home their own version, a scaled-down Matchbox die-cast replica of the build will hit select retail shelves starting April 2026.

“We’re thrilled to collaborate with Mattel and Matchbox on bringing this one-of-a-kind Jeep Wrangler to life and benefit a great cause with Richard Rawlings’ Gas Monkey Foundation,” said Lee Riser, RealTruck’s Vice President of Marketing Activation. “This build is a follow-up to one of our most successful collaborations, a Jeep Gladiator, and debuting this custom Jeep at the 2025 SEMA Show is the perfect way to celebrate the build creativity that defines both our brands.”

From SEMA To The Auction Block

Following its debut in Las Vegas, the custom Wrangler will continue its journey to one of the most prestigious automotive stages — the 2026 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction. RealTruck has donated the vehicle in full, with Barrett-Jackson waiving all fees and commissions so that 100 percent of the hammer price will go directly to Richard Rawlings’ Gas Monkey Foundation.

Rawlings, best known as the founder of Gas Monkey Garage and star of “Fast N’ Loud”, will join RealTruck and Matchbox at the SEMA unveiling. His foundation, established in 2014, supports veterans, first responders, and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease, channeling both financial resources and storytelling power to make a meaningful impact.

A Collaboration With Purpose

Beyond the excitement of SEMA and the glamour of the auction block, the RealTruck x Matchbox Jeep Wrangler project represents a broader collaboration between brands that celebrate exploration and community. It’s a reminder that creativity in the automotive world can drive both passion and purpose.

For RealTruck, headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan, this partnership underscores its global leadership in off-road innovation — a company operating 78 facilities across four continents with over 5,000 associates and more than 1,000 active and pending patents. For Matchbox, it’s another milestone in its legacy of inspiring generations of enthusiasts through collectible design and real-world automotive connections.
