Remember the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 that MeatEater and RealTruck built for the 2023 SEMA Show? The one loaded to the hilt with all the gear for a serious hunting adventure? Well, here’s the deal. It’s being auctioned off at Mecum Auctions in Kansas City on December 6, 2024. But there’s a twist. One hundred percent of the sale price is going directly to Folds of Honor. Folds of Honor is a nonprofit organization providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen or disabled U.S. service members and first responders.
RealTruck Inc. Vice President of Marketing, Lee Riser, says the truck has been “‘MeatEater-tested’ throughout the year, conquering every challenge the MeatEater crew threw its way. The lucky bidder is going to get a truck unlike any other on the road or in the woods!”
What Makes The Truck Special?
So, what makes this truck special? Well, this custom Chevy is built for the outdoor adventurer. It’s not just good looks, because this truck means business. It has a whole arsenal of rugged modifications that will surely fit the wilderness. These include top-of-the-line RealTruck accessories, such as a RealTruck Bak Revolver X4s Hard Roll Up Tonneau Cover to keep your gear safe, and a RealTruck Go Rhino BR20 rear bumper. Additionally, a Rugged Ridge Traction Recovery Kit, RealTruck AMP Research BedStep, and more. Furthermore, the truck has an eye-catching exterior that includes a camouflage wrap and bright orange accents.
Honoring Our Heroes
“Folds of Honor is so grateful for this donation,” said Nick Nichols, Folds of Honor Pesident. Mecum Auctions is also excited to be included. “This remarkable vehicle represents adventure and a commitment to honoring our heroes,” said Breeann Poland, Mecum’s Director of Marketing. Mecum encourages bidders to join the company in making a difference in the lives of such deserving families.
MeatEater founder Steven Rinella added, “The work Folds of Honor does to provide educational opportunities to service members and first responders is extraordinary.” And he predicts the truck’s new owner will be ready for anything, may it be a hunting expedition, a long drive, or a weekend camping trip. So mark the date, December 6, and head to Kansas City’s Mecum Auctions where you can ride off into the sunset behind the wheel of the custom Chevy for Folds of Honor.
