Wilwood Releases New Big Brake Kits For Ford Super Duty Trucks

Wilwood Engineering has recently expanded its arsenal to include a new series of bolt-on big brake kits specifically designed for 2023 and newer Ford Super Duty F-250 and F-350 trucks. The kits are officially called the Tactical Xtreme TX6 , and they promise better braking response, even in heavy-duty conditions. Read on for more about the new kits from Wilwood Engineering.

The front kits, with TX6-DM calipers, are mounted directly to the factory spindle. The rear calipers are mounted with a bracket extension. The kits include six-piston calipers, net-forged from lightweight aluminum, and E-coated iron alloy GTB slotted rotors.

The calipers utilize differential bore size technology for balanced pad engagement, resulting in precise and accurate braking performance. The 15-inch rotors in the front and 15.5-inch rotors at the back contain 48 internal vanes. These vanes help to efficiently dissipate heat, resulting in optimal braking performance, even during extreme conditions. The kits fit directly onto most 20-inch-and-up-diameter wheels.

The calipers are offered in Classic Black powdercoat or Vibrant Red powdercoat, as well as 24 other colors. This gives owners the option to personalized their truck’s look. Every TX6 kit comes with fade-resistant BP-Q street-performance compound brake pads, stainless-steel flex lines, and premium-grade hardware.

So, if you are towing a trailer, hauling cargo, or just driving on the paved or un-paved road, these kits will help enhance your rig’s braking.
