If you’re an overlanding fan, or you just need power off-grid, here’s a heads up. REDARC, a company known for its off-grid power solutions, has introduced its GoBlock portable dual-battery system to the North American market. This sturdy unit has a 100Ah (1200W) capacity and it offers lots of power for just about any outdoor adventure.
The REDARC GoBlock Portable Dual-Battery System
The GoBlock is designed to be a two-in-one device. It can be used as a portable power station and as a dual-battery system that can be used in a vehicle. This versatility allows you to easily move it from one vehicle to another or take it into remote areas using the integrated retractable handles. If you need to power critical equipment while overlanding, on a job site, or simply a weekend camping trip, the GoBlock can be a lifesaver because it’s a reliable source of power.
Versatile Charging Options
The GoBlock is versatile in charging options. Users can recharge it using AC power, a 12V DC accessory socket, or solar panels. For quick charging, REDARC’s PowerDock, with an input of 50A, charges the GoBlock to capacity within two hours.
REDARC engineered the GoBlock to be rugged. It has an IP52 rating, meaning it is well-sealed against dust and moisture. LiFePO4 lithium iron phosphate battery cells are used, and these cells can have as many as 2,000 charge cycles. This can provide years of reliable power.
User-Friendly Features
In addition to its ruggedness, the GoBlock has user-friendly features. It is Bluetooth enabled so that one can easily track the battery status and even access system diagnostics using the RedVision smartphone application. Additionally, it can even perform over-the-air software updates.
The GoBlock has USB, accessory, Merit, fridge, and Anderson outputs. These ports allow GoBlock to power smart devices, speakers, cameras, and drones. Additionally, lights, compressors, electric coolers, up to 700W inverters, and more. With power, flexibility, and ruggedness combined, the REDARC GoBlock is a must-have for people who overland or have outdoor activities that require power. GoBlock availability in North America began on November 4, 2024. For more information on the GoBlock, click here.
