Want A Boss Two-Door Jeep Wrangler-Based Pickup? Here’s One For Sale

If you’ve been wanting a two-door Wrangler-based pickup truck, this is your lucky day. This incredible 2005 Jeep Wrangler with AEV Brute conversion is currently for sale on bringatrailer.com. Clearly, this is no ordinary Jeep pickup. This truck has Vortec V8 power, stout axles, and a collection of mods that make it an off-road standout. This Jeep Wrangler Brute looks pretty darn good, too.

6.0-Liter Power, Beefy Axles, Lockers, 5.13s

According to the seller, the AEV TJ Brute conversion was completed in 2012. The TJ Brute conversion kit was offered by AEV (American Expedition Vehicles) for several years. It included the parts necessary to convert the Jeep Wrangler TJ from an SUV to a two-door, regular cab pickup with removable hardtop.

This Jeep is powered by a 6.0-liter Vortec LQ9 V8 engine and it’s mated to a 4L65E four-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep’s transfer case is listed as a “New Process dual-range transfer case with a heavy-duty output kit.” Additionally, power is carried to the axles via “rebuilt 1350-series driveshafts.”

Up front is a Dana 60 front axle with Warn Premium manual locking hubs and out back is a Sterling 10.5-inch rear axle. Both axles have 5.13:1 gears and ARB Air Lockers. The Jeep’s suspension is a custom long-arm setup and includes King remote-reservoir coilovers and a Rock Jock 4×4 Antirock front swaybar.

Dual Winches, 37s, And More

The exterior of the Jeep has a slew of mods. They include an AEV Highline hood and front fenders, GenRight Off Road rocker guards, and Mopar/AEV Rock Crawler front bumper with Warn 8,000-pound-capacity winch. Additionally, Delta headlights, LED auxiliary lighting, and an AEV rear bumper with Smittybilt 12,000-pound-capacity winch. The truck rolls on 37-inch-diameter Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires, affixed to 17-inch Mickey Thompson alloy wheels. There’s also a bed-mounted matching spare.

Inside: Leather Seats, Auto Meter Gauges, And More

Inside, the Jeep has a pair of aftermarket leather seats, Auto Meter Cobalt gauges, a Bluetooth-capable Pioneer head unit, and Focal speakers. Furthermore, air conditioning, sPod touchscreen for controlling the lighting and the differential lockers, and much more.
