Brian Deegan And His Can-Am UTV Champion Pedigree

For highly motivated individuals like Brian Deegan, success is earned one step at a time. These people are goal-oriented and it’s their dedication to the goal that advances their achievement. You could say it is a champion pedigree or it’s in their Bloodline, and you would be right.

With a passion for all things motorsports, Deegan has passed the racing torch on to his children and since then a lot has changed for him and his family. As Brian put it in a 2018 Off Road Xtreme interview, he has reached his “moment of contentment” when it comes to racing. “I’ve been through motocross, Supercross, freestyle motocross, won multiple X-Games, won Rallycross, won Pro 2 and Pro Lite; I’ve done it,” he said. “Off-road has been fun to me and I want to raise my kids in it, and I’m here to win, but at the end of the day, there are only so many hours to enjoy life. And I want to be there for my kids and help them succeed.” Hailey Deegan, the oldest, has launched a successful career in Nascar. Haiden Deegan has earned a spot on Star Racing Yamaha and is a rising star on the Supercross circuit.

Between these three Deegans, they have almost 4 million followers on Instagram and millions of views garnered from their The Deegans YouTube Channel. Brian, however, has not yet completely given up his high-octane adventures. He still thrives on competition and jumps at the chance to get behind the wheel for a good old fashion race. And to no surprise “The General” has still got what it takes.

Deegan put together a program to enter this year’s Cam-Am UTV Hammers Championship. Racing in the 4900 UTV Pro Stock Turbo division, Brian collaborated with Kyle Chaney to build a competitive purpose-built race vehicle. With support from Can-Am Off-Road, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, Method Race Wheels, Maxxis Tires, PRP Seats, EVO Powersports, CT Race Works, Off Road Wharehouse, LIQUI MOLY USA, and Odyssey Battery, you could say his UTV possessed a championship pedigree.

Indeed the Can-Am is made of a special breed! The car builder, Kyle Chaney, went on to win the 2023 Cam-Am UTV Hammers Championship. This was Chaney’s third consecutive overall victory at the King Of The Hammers event. No doubt, Brian’s machine was built with the right stuff. So how did he do?

Deegan, with a busy schedule chasing his kids all over the country, was able finally able to arrive on-site. With little seat time, he nailed down a 25th overall UTV and 6th in-class qualifying time. After the session, Brian stated “My goal here is to finish and be somewhat competitive. I would be really happy with a Top 10 finish.”

The car truly was unique, as Deegan was only one of a handful of select racers to test and race on the new Bilstein Black Hawk UTV Powersports shocks. The event was a first for the Bilstein to have this equipment entered into competition. The racers faired with excellent results including Brian.

It is all business!

The Method Race Wheels association also played a big part in the program for Brian Deegan. Besides teaming up for this KOH race, Method has aligned with Hailey to get her in a Trophy Truck for the Mint 400 and also with Haiden for the Loretta Lynn Nationals.

Deegan is a master of brand ambassadorship and endorsing products. In the past, Brian has been known to hock his signature #Deegan38 product lines which once included tires, wheels, exhaust, and much more. His arrangement with Method Race Wheels features insider pricing to get 20 percent off a set of wheels. Not a bad deal!

Race Results!

The off-road racing champion did surpass his 2023 King Of The Hammers goals and expectations, but he did fall just short of a podium finish. Brian Deegan completed both of the required laps and finished 4th in the Pro Stock Turb class. His total time on course was 5 hours, 30 minutes, and 46.222 seconds.

“Another year at King Of The Hammers!” Deegan shared. “I was able to survive the gnarliest race of the year and bring it home 4th I’m my class!! Thanks to Kyle Chaneyy for prepping my car and congrats again on the win! My Can-Am dominated! Special thanks to Gary and Pete and the crew at G Force Racing for getting my last-minute suspension tuning done overnight! My co-driver Jeremy Dickenson and all my sponsors that let me do these badass events!!”
