When it comes to innovative high-performance heat control products for all sorts of UTVs, Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) is a leading manufacturer and supplier in the category. With the introduction of its UTV heat control kits for 2019 to 2022 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000, Polaris RZR Pro XP 4, and Polaris RZR Turbo R 4 model UTVs, Design Engineering has again delivered a premium cockpit insulation and heat control system for off-road enthusiasts looking to keep cool in their UTV.
Nobody can help you stay cool in your high-performance vehicle better than DEI, and the company is constantly upgrading its product to meet the needs of its discerning customers. Its new Polaris RZR Heat Control Kit use DEI’s heat-blocking blend of materials in custom designed kits unique to the shapes of the 2019-2022 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000, RZR Pro XP 4, and RZR Turbo R 4 models to better cool the interior, center console area, and seats. This is not a generic setup but a complete system designed specifically for these vehicles. The process includes 3-D scanning, computer modeling, laser cut patterns all precisely crafted.
“Our heat control kit design process begins by running a vehicle and taking very precise temperature measurements.” Mike Buca, DEI Product Manager, continued, “We run each of the test vehicles and look for hot spots in a specific model and design. That ensures the customer gets a kit perfectly designed to easily install and insulate their vehicle.”
The DEI UTV Heat Control Kit Is Intricately Designed For Maximum Coverage
DEI’s Extreme Heat Barrier is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1,750 degrees Fahrenheit. This helps tremendously to protect the driver and passenger areas keeping the occupants comfortable. The new custom designed DEI Heat Control Kits use DEI’s Extreme Heat Barrier to shield heat in the center console. The company’s Black Extreme Heat Barrier to insulate behind the seats and block engine heat.
Mike Buca, DEI Product Manager told us, “We look to see where the problems are and solve those problems. Vehicles are 3D scanned to make prototype patterns to test fit each kit. Once we get the perfect pattern, make any necessary minor adjustments. Shape or placement of materials are finalized and it gets test fitted again before it goes into production.”
The Heat Control Kits are available in Behind-the-Seats and Center-Console options. You can also get a Combination Kit that covers it all. The detailed instructions are illustrated with photos and each step was easy to understand and execute.
