Pirelli Scorpion XTM: New All-Terrain Tire For North America

Pirelli North America has revealed the new Scorpion XTM line of tires, and the line is only for the North American market. The Scorpion XTM comes in two versions. One is for internal combustion trucks and SUVs, and the other is for electric and plug-in hybrid trucks and SUVs. We’re going to focus on the XTM AT for internal combustion trucks and SUVs.

Aggressive Tread Pattern, High Void Areas

The tire features an aggressive tread pattern with high void areas for superior performance in the dirt. Because of these voids – or open spaces between the tread blocks – the tire is able to evacuate mud, dirt, and gravel well, thus maintaining its contact with the surface. The XTM AT is also reinforced on both sidewalls, providing added protection. But that doesn’t mean the XTM AT belongs only in your off-road adventures. The Scorpion XTM AT is also designed to offer on-road stability and “highway comfort.” The result is a tire that is geared for regular commutes and weekend getaways combined. And it comes with a 55,000-mile limited warranty. Furthermore, the XTM AT is 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake rated. This means it provides excellent traction and handling in snowy weather, a prerequisite requirement for many North American car owners.

Designed With North American Needs In Mind

Pirelli designed the XTM AT with North American needs in mind. Notably, the region’s varying terrain. According to Claudio Zanardo, CEO of Pirelli North America, “The Scorpion XTM line is a testament to Pirelli’s commitment to continuously developing products specifically tailored to the needs of North American drivers. We recognize the importance of meeting regional demands, and the XTM is designed to do exactly that — delivering exceptional performance across the diverse terrains and conditions that drivers in this region encounter.”

The Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT will be available in a range of LT and P-metric sizes that cover popular models of trucks and SUVs. For more information visit the Pirelli North America website.
