The 4-Wheel Jamboree Summer Nationals Drew 4x4s Of All Types

Many fans refer to the 4-Wheel Jamboree Summer Nationals simply as the “Bloomsburg Jambo.” It’s an event with roots that go back to the late 1980s. The summer timeframe and Bloomsburg’s cool vibe contribute to the event’s draw. The event location is the grounds of the Bloomsburg Fair, which is a sprawling facility with ample space for the Jambo’s many features. What features? Well, one of the largest facets is the Show ‘N’ Shine area, where participants can park their rigs and show ‘em off.

4-Wheel Jamborees always draw some very unique 4x4s and the 2024 Bloomsburg Jambo was no exception.

At this year’s event, the Show ‘N’ Shine area featured almost every type of 4×4 imaginable. There was everything from shiny show rigs to trail-ready machines covering a wide range of makes and models. Additionally, there were wild custom rigs and a whole bunch of vintage machines. The Jamboree offered participants a cruise route that was open throughout the three-day show. This offered spectators and participants the opportunity see and hear the rigs on the move.

The Performance Marketplace boasted over 45 vendors according to Events Inc. This included a collection of companies offering off-road wares so Jamboree-goers could peruse products right on site.

Performance Marketplace

Another feature of the 2024 Bloomsburg Jambo was the Performance Marketplace. This year, it included several national and regional shops and manufacturers that cater to the off-road world. Vendors were located indoors and outdoors. Companies included BDS Suspension, Skyjacker Suspensions, Ram Trucks, Steve Shannon Tire, and 4×4 Suspension & Gear. Furthermore, Interstate Batteries, Hankook Tires, General Tire, and many more were on site. These companies had staff on hand to answer product questions. It was a great opportunity to peruse a wide range of wares all in one place.

Nearby was the Bloomsburg Jambo Main Stage. It was the place for kids and adult games, a Show ‘N’ Shine seminar, and a participant feedback meeting. Also, kiddie kart and participant awards, and more. The Main Stage was anchored by longtime emcee Joe “Voice Like Thunder” Pagano.

Infield action included monster trucks, mud bogs, tough trucks, and more.

Mud Bogs, Monster Trucks, Tough Trucks, And More

The infield action was stepped up for 2024. On tap was six classes of gooey mud bogs, crowd favorite stock and modified tough truck racing on a specially designed course, and side-by-side racing. Additionally, there was full-blown monster truck racing with freestyle. Monster trucks have always been a popular draw at the Bloomsburg Jambo and for 2024 there were several of ‘em in action. On hand was Bad News Travels Fast, Block Head, Dirt Crew Dozer, Play’n Hookie, Raminator, Rammunition, and War Wizard. Furthermore, there was a burnout competition for those participants looking to wow the crowd by roasting their rig’s tires into oblivion. But that’s not all. The Sergeant Smash monster truck was on hand offering monster truck rides. Saturday’s schedule wrapped up with a fireworks show to round out the day.

It's reported that there were over 1,370 participant vehicles and 12,960 spectators at the three-day Bloomsburg Jambo.

Events Inc. Offers Its Thanks To The 4×4 Community

Mike Moore, President of Events Inc., offers thanks to the 4×4 community for its support of the Bloomsburg Jambo. “We are thrilled with the success of the Bloomsburg 4-Wheel Jamboree this year. We worked hard to regain the trust of sponsors, vendors, participants, and spectators. The show is definitely back on track, but we know there’s a lot more work to be done. I want to thank everyone for coming out this year and supporting the team as we continue to grow and improve the 4-Wheel Jamboree.“ Moore also wanted to give special thanks to Ram Trucks and the Hall Brothers Racing Team for their assistance.
