This has contributed to the teams consistently setting new records nearly every race weekend. This Gen 5 supercharger, distinct from the Gen 3 or 4 models, boasts industry-leading efficiency across its entire RPM range. It features all-new bearings, gears, rotors, and housing. According to Whipple it enables higher speeds, extended durability, and enhanced safety. It also delivers unprecedented power compared to any other positive displacement supercharger ever manufactured.
The new design includes a 3/4 rotor combination (up from the previous 3/5), a 285-degree helix (versus the previous 270 degrees), an optimized discharge port, and increased diameter-to-length ratio for superior efficiency. It’s equipped with new high-flow fuel injectors, billet fuel rails, and an oversized heat exchanger. Additionally, a high-flow intercooler pump and pre-formed hoses. It’s important to note that the Whipple Gen 5 supercharger kit WK-3304-30 for the 2019-2022 Ram 1500 pickup equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi engine is not compatible with the eTorque engine option. However, Whipple offers a kit for 2019-2021 Ram 1500 pickups with the 5.7-liter Hemi eTorque engine. The kit, WK-3310-30, is said to offer 50 percent more power.
