It happens every year like clockwork. The second week of July, Bloomsburg attracts off-road enthusiasts from all over! The 2022 Bloomsburg 4-Wheel Jamboree keeps fans and attendees coming back year after year for a small-town fair-like atmosphere focused on everything 4×4. Celebrating their 35th annual event in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, it was an off-road overload with tons of four-wheel action.
Who does not love a good truck fest? We sure do at Off Road Xtreme! The 4-Wheel Jamborees are several do not miss events on our off-road event calendar. Last year, we had representation from both Off Road Xtreme and Diesel Army, and it was the same for 2022. Our colleague Randy Bolig, nailed it down for both titles and provided a great event report focused on diesel content.
Day 2 Highlights of the 2022 Bloomsburg 4-Wheel Jamboree
Overall, the major highlights were the live-action entertainment attractions of the 4-Wheel Jamboree. Mega Truck Racing, Mega Truck Freestyle, Mod Bog Racing, Monster Truck Rides, and Monster Truck Freestyle Show are what get the regular folks paying through the front gate. On the other side, event attendees become participants in the 4-Wheel Jamboree with the tire burnout, dyno challenge, and as competitors in the famous Show-N-Shine contest. That means you could be the big deal at the next one.
2022 Bloomsburg Show-N-Shine
The Show-N-Shine is a hugely popular part of the 4-Wheel Jamboree. We saw old and new vehicles on display, some totally built up, and some freshly restored to their original factory glory. There are many awards with three Street, Modified, and Pro categories which include; Awards of Excellence, Legends Awards (Sky-High Rides), Oldest Participant, Youngest Participant, Longest Distance, Event Staff Pick, Daily Driver, Best Of Show, Best 4×4, Best Ford, Best GM, Best Mopar, Best Jeep, Best Of The Rest, Best Paint, Best Interior, Best Engineered, and more.
It is cool to see and meet with these truck and SUV enthusiasts. Walking through the hundreds of vehicles it is difficult to find a favorite. You can easily see the personal touches and modifications that make each ride unique. We saw some old favorites including Kathy Groft’s Best Of Show Excursion, Robert Fry’s 1989 Ford Ranger, Gary Knight’s K5 Camper, but it was time to find a new standout.

Off Road Xtreme Editor’s Choice: Premium Off-Road Vehicle
The honor of being a Show-N-Shine official Judge is not taken lightly. Off Road Xtreme has developed our own criteria for the Editor’s Choice Premium Off-Road Vehicle award. To sum it up, we are looking for something clean and pristine that mimics the factory styling and it has to be truly off-road capable.
We found what we are looking for in Doug Avery’s magazine quality 1983 Toyota SR5 4×4. The attention to detail was off the charts inside and out with premium level interior upgrades, flawless paint, and a totally rad Chevrolet V8. We also know its totally functional and ready to hit the trail with the tried and true Toyota 4×4 drivetrain. Stay tuned for a complete vehicle feature on this sweet ride.

Off-Road Overload At The 2022 Bloomsburg 4-Wheel Jamboree
The 2022 A&A Auto Stores 4-Wheel Jamboree presented by Cooper Tire is a decades-long tradition for families and enthusiasts to come together and enjoy what they love most. The event organizers are dedicated to making this event better year after year and is what keeps, sponsors, participants, and attendees coming back. One thing is for certain, Off Road Xtreme plans to make the trip again next year!
Until then we can anticipate and get ready for the 41st Annual O’Reilly Fall 4-Wheel Jamboree in Indianapolis, Indiana happening on September 16 through September 18 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds .
