Tacos and Trucks: Truck Meet Full Of Off-Road Rigs, And PreRunners

In celebration of tacos and trucks, @Socal_TacosAndTrucks hosted a meet up at a local Murietta Taco Shop. Over 100 off-road rigs of varying makes and models showed up. Everything from professionally built prerunners, trail rigs, to home built off-road daily drivers was parked and on display. The diverse range really put it into perspective what the scene is all about.

SoCal Tacos and Trucks had various make and model on display.

A sweet Ford Bronco with a LSX conversion!

This home built Toyota looked home built but the end result looks like a really fun ride.

Some military hardware and a tricked out HMMWV

As the Editor of Off Road Xtreme, I got a chance to get out of the office and hang out with old friends while making some new ones. When I arrived, I was pretty impressed to see how many vehicles came out. I figured it would be cool to get a few of my friends to come out last minute and started texting people right away. Unbeknownst to me at the time, they were already there and posted at the spot. Overall, there is estimated to be about 100 vehicles that showed up at one time or another.

About 100 vehicles that showed up to the May 4th Truck Meet.

With the daylight fading everyone soaked up the evening’s last bit of sun, the crowd congregated mulling over each other’s rides. SoCal Tacos And Beer featured special deals and was slinging the tortillas blanketed with meat all night long. The line was out the door, but from what we could tell they looked like authentic street style and were super tasty. A cold cerveza to wash everything down always make everything better too.

It was a great time, and we congratulate @Socal_TacosAndTrucks on the successful truck meet. We reached out to Rusty Baptist who organized the truck meet.  He commented, “Being a native of So Cal, tacos and trucks are a part of our lives. I wanted to create something that brings our culture together. The event turned out great since everyone likes tacos and trucks! We will do another one soon.” I guess Rusty is right by that and honestly, if you do not like tacos and trucks, I do not want to know you.
