This Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia Clone Can Be Your Next Ride

Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia

When Porsche first introduced its badge-engineered version of the Touareg, the SUV received a lot of criticism. Purists were appalled by the automaker for introducing a model that is a major departure from the Porsche sporty lineage, and enthusiasts could not warm up to the SUV’s awkward styling.

These days, however, performance SUVs are some of the most popular products in the market. We are big fans of high-riders, safari models, and rally-spec sports cars. Well, if you are in the market for a rally-spec Porsche, then Cars & Bids might have the answer to your prayers. A Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia clone was recently listed on the auction website.

Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia

This Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia is highly modified.

For the uninitiated, Porsche competed in the Transsyberian Rally Championship with a racing spec-Cayenne, and the SUV won the rally in 2007, and again in 2008. The Transsyberia tribute is based on a 2005 model year Porsche Cayenne and comes equipped with the Advanced Off-road Technology package.

This off-road upgrade includes hydraulically activated front and rear sway bar disconnects, Porsche Traction Management systems, and active suspension. The SUV also gets aluminum wheel spacers, skid plates, and rock sliders. The car received a 3-inch suspension lift and rides on 18-inch powder-coated orange wheels, which are wrapped in all-terrain rubber.

The car’s 4.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8 remains unmodified. The powerplant produced 450 HP of power in its factory tune. At this point, the leading bit stands at $18,500, and there are 24 hours left in the auction, so better get your bid in ASAP.
