Quick Hit: Rugged Rocks Battery Terminal Distribution Blocks

Off-roading requires more to get farther down the trail or up the mountain, and this usually calls for mods like winches, additional lights, and more. These electronics and gadgets make life easier, but they also complicate the wiring situation in the engine bay. Thankfully, Rugged Rocks has a solution in the form of its battery terminal distribution blocks.

We spoke with Steven Lutz, founder of Rugged Rocks, to hear more about the blocks and what they bring to the table. “The vision of the Rugged Rocks battery terminal distribution blocks is to easily wire additional accessories while keeping things clean,” he said. “They’re here to offer a simple solution to a messy problem.”

And a messy problem it often is. We as off-roaders have all seen both clean and cluttered wiring jobs in many different 4x4s. Routing wires to battery terminals can become a problem as the terminals are often small and only large enough to accommodate the power cables. But thanks to Rugged Rocks’ distribution blocks, the amount of useable electrical connections is increased.

By simply installing the distribution blocks to a battery, the user gains additional contact points for hooking up his electrical add-ons. Three top connection points per block are suitable for large-gauge wire connections like winches. Also, there is one side connection point per block for small-gauge wire connections, like lights.

The distribution blocks themselves are made from sturdy material. “We use CNC-cut and machined aluminum,” commented Lutz. Aluminum is naturally rust-proof, making it an ideal material for vehicles that go off-roading and require rugged products.

These battery terminal distribution blocks from Rugged Rocks will make a fine addition to your Jeep, truck, UTV, or SUV that needs handy connections to multiple electronics. To find out more, be sure to visit Rugged Rocks’ website.
