LOORRS Is Back With Doubleheader In Reno-Sparks

After the cancellation of the Wheatland Rounds of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series (LOORRS) due to severe weather, the action will be back on track at the Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada. A mere 20 minutes outside Reno, the OPTIMA Batteries Silver State Showdown, presented by GEICO takes off on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27.

The dual-night event is loaded with races that will take on the track’s massive jumps, steep inclines and sharp descents. Wild West Motorsports Park was built on a plot of land that Reno businessman Norm Diandra owned, he utilized it to bring LOORRS to the area for all to enjoy. The hilltop property features a unique layout with natural elevation changes that lends itself to getting racers up to extraordinary speeds.

The series has 4 rounds down and 5 to go. The top Pro 2 series points leaders only have a 7 point spread, making these final races tense with no room for errors. Pro 4 is even closer. The unpredictable podiums through the 2019 season have made the top contenders all within 4 points. Even Pro Lite is a wide-open battle for the crown. Just about anyone has a chance to take the title in each class division, from hardly-known teams to well established and distinguished teams.

The fast and twisty track combined with the high level of competition across all nine classes will make for exhilarating racing for thousands of fans that will the Motorsports park on both nights.
