2019 Ford Ranger Bets On Black With Optional Appearance Package

Henry Ford infamously said that customers could order “any color so long as it is black.” These days the Blue Oval color palette is far more varied, but for buyers of the 2019 Ford Ranger, the new Black Appearance Package option can add some of that bold personality.

According to Ford, nearly two thirds of the new Rangers are being optioned with either the Sport Appearance Package — which includes special wheels and Magnetic Gray accents — or the Chrome Appearance Package, which includes chrome wheels and body accents. Now fans of the darkest hue can get in on the appearance-package fun with a dash of Henry Ford’s favorite hue.

“Like the rest of their gear, Ranger customers are choosing the option that best fits their adventures,” Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager, said. “Having the right gear matters and so does the right look. The Black Appearance Package adds aggressive style to the adventures our customers embark on.”
