The off-road performance aftermarket sector moves fast and you have to be thinking five moves ahead at all times and that is what Hypertech is displaying here at the 2019 SEMA Show. The competition is fierce for your aftermarket budget and the last thing you want to do is regret spending hard-earned dollars for a product that does not perform as promised. Hypertech knows this and works hard to stay at the cutting edge.
Hypertech was founded in 1985 and quickly produced the Power Chip, a replacement PROM for early ECMs. As vehicle computer systems progressed so did Hypertech with the Power Tuning Module in 1993, followed the next year with the Power Programmer. In 1995 as diesel engines started using computer technology Hypertech was there with the Power Chip for GM diesels. With every automotive innovation, Hypertech has provided an option for more power and more adjustability.
The Emerging UTV Market
Through the first two quarters of 2019, the venerable Polaris RZR has seen an 18 percent increase in sales, which includes a 13 percent growth globally and six percent nationally. This kind of growth and sheer sales volume sparks that aftermarket to get innovative fast, and Hypertech is always right there with the latest.
Maximize Engine Performance
Engine programming is your single greatest increase in affordable power, no tearing down the engine, and essentially “plug and play.” Hypertech has entered the Max Energy Spectrum for the 2015-2020 RZR who is looking for a little bit more “oomph”. Part number 3200 covers both normally aspirated and turbocharged models and has a variety of features including:
- Gains up to 9.2 horsepower in normally aspirated models
- Gains up to 42.1 horsepower in turbo models
- Exhaust tunes
- Throttle response
- Rev limit, top speed, idle speed adjustability
- Temperature adjustability for cooling fans
- Speedometer correction to different sized tires and gearing
With a 4.3-inch full-color display you can take advantage of the user-friendly navigation while bouncing over the dunes, desert or forests of your choice.
More Than Engine Performance
What is the use of going faster if you have to slow yourself down for stock OEM suspension? Hypertech has your 2014-2018 RZR covered with a set of pioneering Xtreme Balljoints. Constructed of 4340 chromoly steel and is designed with minimal retention bolt shaft recess, maintaining the shaft’s strength, unlike factory ball joints. Xtreme Balljoint has an adjustable balljoint cup, heavy-duty dust boot, grease fitting and a new C-clip retainer for longevity. Removing the lower snap ring and lock pin, the ball and socket junction can be re-tightened.
Constructed entirely of 6061 aluminum and anodized bright red to enhance its appearance, the Hypertech Xtreme Blow Off Valve is designed with adjustable spring pressure control. The top of the valve can be tightened or loosened to increase or decrease the spring pressure, which allows the turbocharger response and sound you like to be dialed in.
Tired of the sound of grinding gears spoiling your ride, use the Rip-It Gated Shifter on your 2014-2018 RZR. The Rip-It Gated Shifter is constructed of high strength 7075 aircraft aluminum alloy and is offered with a Pistol grip (Part Number 3001006). The Rip-It Gated Shifter also has a lock-out gate that allows for precise shifts between Low and Reverse when needed. An ergonomic shift handle provides comfort during hard shifting.
Help! I’ve Fallen And I Can’t Get Up!
Stuff happens out there and not all of it is good, it is the nature of off-roading and Hypertech knows this. To that end, they offer a UTV specific Recovery Kit (Part Number 3001011). It has the quality tools you need: Rope, soft shackles, bow shackle, snatch block, tree saver and leather gloves in the bag to fit any sport UTV. Hypertech matched each tool to Sport UTV needs, selecting the right components such as a synthetic rope to save space.
Get The Most Out Of Your Truck
Hypertech is featured the new Max Energy Spectrum Power Programmer part number 3000 for 2004-2018 Ram, Dodge, GM, Jeep, and Ford trucks; and part number 3100 for 2018-2020 select Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. California truck owners need part number 3050 with meets CARB and EPA approval. This programmer optimizes your engine tuning for any kind of driving from economy settings that user report gains 1 to 3 miles per gallon, to flat out hauling across any terrain. This unit also clears diagnostic codes. Specific performance figures depend on the vehicle.
Throttle Response At Your Fingertips
REACT is Hypertech’s innovative new throttle optimizer. The REACT offers full customization over your vehicle’s throttle response. The simple control knob allows you to switch between multiple modes and control the throttle intensity of each mode on-the-fly. It features five settings, Track, Sport, Street, Economy, and Stock.
Keep Your Speedometer Accurate
Finally, here at SEMA, Hypertech is featuring their Speedometer Calibrator for 2004 through 2018 Dodge/Ram, Ford, GM, and Jeep vehicles (part number 3300) and 2018 through 2020 Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles (part number 3400). With this unit, you can correct your speedometer for accurate reading of tires up to 54 inches or installed aftermarket gear ratios. It also adjusts TPMS warning thresholds and can read, display and clear diagnostic trouble codes.
Hypertech added to their accolades this week with more awards from SEMA for their cutting edge technology and innovation. Clearly Hypertech is fully five steps ahead at all times and with momentum like that there is no telling where they will go next.
