There are always high priced vehicles being sold at auction, but rarely does the whole selling price of a vehicle go to charity. A Jeep hit the auction blocks at Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach to raise money for the Patriot Foundation. The Patriot Foundation focuses primarily on helping the children and spouses of servicemen and women that have been killed, wounded, and injured in the Global War on Terrorism.

The Jeep is inspired by the original Hendrick Commando tactical vehicle and premiered at the 2015 Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, the Commando Tactical Edition Jeep is a collaboration between 4 Wheel Parts Dealer Services division and Hendrick Dynamics, who worked together to create this spectacular vehicle’s aggressive design, style and versatile up-fit technology, including an exact replication of the authentic Commando Tan exterior color.

Chuck Deleot, President of Patriot Foundation stated, “Patriot Foundation is extremely grateful to Rick Hendrick, Chairman, Hendrick Automotive Group, Marshall Carlson, General Manager, Hendrick Dynamics, the entire Hendrick Dynamics team and Greg Adler, CEO, Transamerican Auto Parts, for making this possible. These gentlemen are making a significant difference in creating hope and opportunity for many families who have sacrificed everything to keep us all safe and free. I am proud to be partnered with such selfless patriots.” Deleot added, “We urge people to visit PatriotFoundation.com for more information on the organization.”

The best part about the Jeep hitting the auction block was the dollar amount they were able to raise. The final hammer price of the no reserve auction was $225,000, and every penny went to the charity. It is great to see that dollar amount make it to a charity like this one.
