There’s always a few events we wish we could attend in a given year, and for 2017, the 4-Wheel Jamboree [2]is on the list. Organized by Family Events [3], the 4-Wheel Jamboree will be coming to the Midwest and East Coast during spring and summer, respectively.
The first 4-Wheel Jamboree will take place at the Allen County Fairgrounds in Lima, Ohio, on May 19-21. It looks to be a great time for families and off-road enthusiasts from all corners of the region.

A few of the attractions coming to the 4-Wheel Jamboree – monster trucks, UTVs, tough trucks, proving grounds, and more!
One thing that will make this event special is a partnership with SEMA [8]. In particular, the 4-Wheel Jamboree will feature SEMA’s Battle of the Builders (BOTB) Young Guns. As one of the top competitions in the custom-car builder community, the contest is always attracting some of the most talented and driven individuals and teams to come up with some awesome creations.
What makes the Young Guns BOTB interesting is that it is targeted specifically at the youngsters out there making their own builds. For the 4-Wheel Jamboree, this means that anyone who’s A) under the age of 27 and B) built their own 4×4 is eligible to sign up for the contest. The Young Guns BOTB will be happening at both this Jamboree on May 19-21 in Lima, Ohio, as well as the next Jamboree on July 7-9 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

This means that two lucky individuals will be crowned as winners, and for their efforts, they’ll be handsomely rewarded. The Grand Prize – “Vegas, Baby!” – will reward the winners with a trip for them and one guest to the 2017 SEMA Show. Features include:
- Round-trip coach class airfare to the 2017 SEMA Show
- Five nights lodging in Las Vegas at a designated SEMA-partner hotel
- Vehicle transportation to/from 2017 SEMA Show for winner’s vehicle
- Designated Feature Vehicle spot at 2017 SEMA Show
- Automatic entry to the 2017 SEMA Battle of the Builders
- $500 towards other expenses
