Baja 1000: Off Road Xtreme Is Headed To Baja With Terrible Herbst

Less than a week away the off-road community will be fixated on what is happening South of the California border. The 2016 Baja 1000 kicks off next week for the 49th running of the most popular race in off-road.

Off Road Xtreme is heading down with Terrible Herbst Motorsports to see what it is like to race the iconic race in the Trophy Truck class. From prerunning to race day and everything in between we will be right beside the team to bring you the inside scoop.

The team is bringing three Trophy Trucks to Baja including one in the Trophy Truck Spec class. The spec truck qualified first last week out at SEMA as well as the no. 3 Riviera Racing Trophy Truck that was driven by Kyle LeDuc.

Also heading down with the team is the no. 3 Riviera Racing Trophy Truck and the no. 244 Atkinson Toyota Racing Trophy Truck Spec. Both of these trucks qualified first in their respective class.

The no. 91 Trophy Truck driven by Ryan Arciero and Troy Herbst qualified sixth and the no. 19 Trophy Truck driven by Brett Sourapas and Tim Herbst qualified seventh out at the Las Vegas Speedway. With all the trucks in great starting position, the race is far from over with 854 miles of the most rugged terrain in the world standing between them and the crown.
